The 1960s: Product and Market Expansion

Expansion was not confined to the UK. License agreements saw plants open in Argentina, Turkey, Mexico and Bulgaria, whilst the old R6 line was shipped to Brazil to introduce the 6.340 engine into that country. Agreements with Toyo Kogyo in Japan saw derivatives of the 6.354 and 4.236 in production there for vehicle use, and the supply of the 4.154 engine to the UK to fill a gap in the product range.
